Every year, Sydney is well known for hosting inspiring festive events in the lead up to Christmas with this year being no different. There is much to see and do!

Martin Place will be lit up between 8.30pm to 1.00am from November 26 with the celebrated annual light projections immersing Sydney’s historic buildings and a grand Christmas tree.

In Pitt Street Mall, from December 3 – 24, you can hear the traditional Christmas carols being sung every Friday night.

On December 19, the much-loved Carols in the Domain, an iconic Sydney Christmas tradition is on, and make sure you don’t miss out on Christmas on the Green, a free family concert taking place in Hyde Park on November 26.

Every Friday night from November 13, The Rocks will play host to The Village Bizarre Night Markets where visitors can enjoy the festive atmosphere of mystery, magic, live music and great food.

Christmas Day itself takes place on December 25 and is one of the most peaceful days in the city and the ideal time to explore. One popular attraction which opens its doors for Christmas day is Taronga Zoo. Enjoy spectacular harbour views as you explore the beautiful grounds, home to over 300 species and then unwind with us at the Harbourview after your busy day of sightseeing!
