Hop Garden is available for both exclusive hire and semi-private bookings. Depending on your capacity requirements and space availability, you can host your event in the dining area, covered beer garden, or terrace spaces.

Depending on the area booked, Hop Garden can be hired for a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 4 hours. Minimum buyout charges applicable.
There is no minimum guest requirement to book Hop Garden for your next event but we’d recommend hiring it for at least 40 guests to make the most of the space. (Must qualify for $3000 spend for 2 hours)

Yes, furniture and layout can be arranged at the time of booking across all Hop Garden event spaces, depending on your event requirements.
Hop Garden’s dining area and beer garden are covered, weatherproof, and heated. Our street-facing terrace is uncovered but can be fitted with portable gas heaters upon request.
In case of bad weather, Hop Garden is well-equipped to keep your guests warm, dry, and comfortable, with a full food and drinks offering available indoors. Optional move to mezzanine level or Woods restaurant based on the size of the group.

Yes, you can hire your own DJ for your event but can also hire ours. Hop Garden’s resident DJ is available for bookings, subject to availability. This must be arranged at the time of booking and may incur additional costs.
Music can continue until 9:45pm, last call, provided it complies with EPA noise regulations and does not exceed local noise limits.
Yes, all events must comply with EPA Victoria noise regulations and ensure noise levels do not exceed limits in nearby residential areas. The curfew is at 10pm.

Yes, onsite parking is available at View Melbourne for $21 per day. A vehicle height restriction of 2.0 metres applies. Parking spaces are limited, and larger vehicles may need to use nearby street parking.
Hop Garden at View Melbourne is conveniently located near tram stops along St Kilda Road, providing easy access to Melbourne CBD, Albert Park, and major city attractions. Tram stops are approximately a 2-minute walk away, with services departing every few minutes.
Payments, Deposits & Policies
Yes, a deposit is required to secure any event booking once a date has been confirmed with our Events Team. Please get in touch to discuss full terms and conditions.
Our cancellation policy is discussed during your initial consultation with our Events Team and included in your event proposal.
To ensure the best catering experience, your final guest count is required 10 days prior to your event date.
Cleaning is included in your venue hire. We kindly ask guests to dispose of rubbish in the bins provided and leave the space in a reasonably tidy condition.
