What time are the Sydney New Year’s Eve fireworks?
There are two fireworks displays on the night: Calling Country at 9pm and the main show at midnight. Here’s the official City of Sydney schedule:
- 7.30pm: Smoking Ceremony
- 8.30pm: Harbour Bridge pylon projections and lighting effects
- 8.45pm: Welcome to Country
- 9pm: Calling Country fireworks
- 9.15pm: Sydney Harbour lights
- Midnight: Midnight fireworks

Party on Deck 17 at our New Year’s Eve Soiree
For a New Year’s Eve party in Sydney with harbour views, the Soirée is the one to book. Deck 17 sits high above Lavender Bay and faces directly towards the Harbour Bridge, so the fireworks go off right in front of you.
Your $750 ticket, plus booking fee, covers the whole night:
- Food: global street flavours served throughout the night
- Drinks: free-flowing beer, wine, sparkling, Prosecco, soft drinks and juices
- Cocktails: Aperol Spritz, Gin & Tonic, NYE Sangria and frozen margaritas
- Music: DJs Cadell and James Mack
- Weather cover: a fully covered marquee, so the party goes ahead rain, hail or shine
- The Soirée is a stand-up event for guests aged 18 and over, with a large amount but limited unallocated seating. It sold out in 2025, so we recommend booking early.
