The 2026 Australian Grand Prix roars into Albert Park from March 5-8, and View Melbourne is bringing the after-party. Pitstop, our unofficial F1 celebration in partnership with Jim Beam, keeps the adrenaline pumping long after the checkered flag drops.
Located just 200 meters from the circuit gates on St Kilda Road, we’re your home base for the entire Grand Prix weekend—from morning coffee to late-night celebrations.
What to expect
Morning Fuel Up (Friday – Sunday)
Start your race day right with specialty coffee and grab-and-go breakfast options. Whether you’re heading to practice sessions, qualifying, or the main event, we’ve got you covered before you hit the track.

Pitstop After-Party (Friday – Sunday Nights)
When the engines cool down, the party heats up. Join us for three nights of non-stop celebration featuring:
- Red Bull DJs spinning from Friday through Sunday night
- Jim Beam Activations with custom cocktails crafted for race weekend
- Smoked Meats from our custom smoker – American BBQ style
- Prizes & Giveaways throughout the weekend

Do I need a ticket to attend Pitstop?
No! Pitstop is free to attend. Simply show up and join the celebration. No Grand Prix ticket required. We recommend coming early to beat the crowds.
What time does Pitstop start each night?
The party kicks off around 5:00 PM each evening (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and runs into the night.
Is there food available?
Absolutely. We’ll have smoked meats from our custom smoker, plus our full Woods Cafe, Bar & Restaurant menu available throughout the weekend.
Can I come if I’m not attending the Grand Prix?
Yes! Pitstop is open to everyone – whether you’re at the race or just want to soak up the F1 atmosphere in Melbourne.
Where exactly is View Melbourne located?
We’re at 562 St Kilda Road, just 200 meters from the Albert Park circuit gates. Easy tram access from the city and plenty of F1 energy.
Will there be outdoor space?
Yes, the activation spans our St Kilda Road stretch with both indoor and outdoor areas to enjoy.
Are there vegetarian/vegan options?
Our Woods restaurant offers vegetarian and vegan options. Check with our team for specific dietary requirements.
Is Pitstop family-friendly?
The morning coffee and grab-and-go service is perfect for families. Evening events have a bar atmosphere better suited to adults 18+.
Do I need to book a table?
Walk-ins are welcome for Pitstop! However, if you’d like to guarantee a table at Woods Restaurant, we recommend booking ahead during Grand Prix weekend.
What’s the dress code?
Casual and comfortable – think race weekend vibes. Wear your team colors!
Is there parking available?
Limited parking is available at the hotel. We recommend using public transport – trams run frequently along St Kilda Road during Grand Prix weekend.
Can I watch the race at View Melbourne?
While we’re not a viewing venue, we’re the perfect spot to fuel up before heading to the circuit (200m away!) and celebrate after.
